Stages of skin care

5 steps – 5 minutes

Each of us should follow an individual care programme based on the condition of our skin. Each skin is different, has different qualities and problems. Don’t be afraid to examine your skin. How you care for it, what cosmetics you use, and how you do this – everything is important. The ritual we would like to show you takes around 6 minutes in the morning and evening. Following these steps will ensure that your skin care is perfect and your skin will feel wonderful. You can certainly afford that!

1. Two stages of cleaning: oil and water

Cleaning your face with oils removes all makeup, impurities from the entire day, and dead epidermis. Pour cleaning oil onto your hand, distribute with your fingers over your eyelids, under your eyes, and on the entire face and neck. Massage using a circular motion. Wet a small cloth or towel in hot water, wring it, and leave on your face for 5-6 breaths. This is the time to open the pores and allow the oil to reach as deep as possible. This way you will remove all the impurities. You may repeat this stage two times.

Now soak the towel in cool water and gently remove the makeup. It will remain on the towel and the face will be clean. The cool water will close the pores and remove mechanical impurities. Wash the towel and dry it, so that it will be ready for next use. You can also use cosmetic pads instead of a towel or cloth.

An ideal solution here is KOI’s Cleansing Avocado Oil. It removes makeup but leaves no oily film. Suitable for all skin types, even oily skin.

2. Toning

Toning is the process of restoring the skin’s natural pH that changes during the cleaning. Perhaps you were not aware how important this stage is? The toner is not meant to clean the face, but to prepare it for further care. Be careful with toners that contain alcohol, as it makes it difficult for the skin to regenerate afterwards.

At this stage, the best toner would be KOI Gold NanoParticles Toner. It is alcohol-free, and gold has antiseptic, anti-acne, hydrating, and rejuvenating properties. Additionally, it helps the active substances penetrate deep into the skin.

3. Concentrated product (elixir, essence, or serum)

After cleaning and toning, the skin is ready for a light but concentrated elixir, essence, or serum. This product should moisturise the skin, so look for hyaluronic acid, lecithin, and collagen in the ingredients list. It won’t substitute a cream, but boost its effect!

KOI’s concentrated, luxurious elixir restores skin hydration level and stimulates collagen and elastin production. It is a bit sticky (lecithin) and absorbs quickly.

4. Under eye cream

The skin under the eyes has no fatty tissue and is particularly delicate. No product we use around the eyes can irritate the skin around them. Eye cream should be gently patted, not rubbed into the skin.

Under eye cream with crosslinked hyaluronic acid by KOI perfectly moisturises the skin for a long time and reduces circles.

5. Cream

Everyone remembers about this stage, but what is crucial here is which cream we choose. In the morning it is good to use creams that contain anti-oxidants, UV filters, and hyaluronic acid. In the evening, choose a regenerating cream with GLA acids, oils, and retinol. KOI offers creams that our customers can adjust to their individual needs depending on whether they want to nourish, rebuild, regenerate or moisturise the skin.
